Comments:

After graduating in 1972 with a degree in Music Ed., I "got the heck out of Dodge" and headed for the East Coast. I never imagined actually staying out here, but NJ has been my home for the past 37 years. I recently retired from teaching public school music and am enjoying having extra time to travel, spend time with family, and relax. I love being less than an hour from NYC and within close proximity of Boston, Washington and Philly.

School Story:

I loved being a part of the music department activities at SMPC---especially the years spent in Campanile Singers. Our trip to Europe in January of '72 was THE highlight of my college years.

Hi Dave--Thanks for the note you sent recently. Yes, I'm retired after 35 years in public school music in Little Silver, NJ. These days I spend a lot of my time enjoying my three beautiful grandchildren. Two are in the Boston area (the one on my lap and his baby sister). I'm up there at least every 8 weeks to spend some time. My other little grandson lives locally--he's only 6 months old. I do get out to Kansas several times a year--not always to Dodge. My sisters both live in KC area and I'm there more often. My brother (Ron Herrman) lives in Dodge City and my parents are still in Ensign. Had a great trip out to Colorado last year and got to meet up with Sharon (Suthers) Stelzner. What a fun time!
Would love to get to a reunion sometime.
Take care. Stay well. Sorry to hear about the bypass surgery.

Hey Sue!! Good to see you with a munchkin on your lap. I assume you are retired or almost by now. Kansas is still wheat, wind, and all. I still keep in touch with several SMOP alumni. Munoz was struck by a car and ended up with a broken leg and is still sporting a walker and foot boot. In July I had a mild heart attack and earned a "zipper" with 6 bypasses. I'm getting along ok. Sure hope you can make it to the next SMOP reunion. I might return to NY in July for my 50th class reunion. Hard to believe 50 years ago I arrived on the "shores" of DC and met a bunch of fine people. Stay warm. Winter is almost 1/2 done. Peace, Super and Ellen
