I have had a full and rewarding life. After college I married the love of my life Jeannine. I joined Kirby Vacuum Company and held several positions from Door to Door salesman to Divisional Supervisor in charge of 12 states. Working with Kirby allowed us to travel the world extensively and the pleasure of passing on opportunity to numerous others. I retired from Kirby in 2000.
After retirement I pursued my dream of owning and operating a cow-calf ranching operation, which we still enjoy today.
For over forty years, our family has enjoyed auto racing. Competing with my son and my grandson, the Gemmill name has been quite active on the racing circuit.
In the last ten years, Jeannine and I have competed horseback in a fun and exciting sport called ranch sorting. In 2007 we started a national organization called Ranch Sorting National Championship. If you would like, you can go to our website at www.rsnc.us.
St Mary of the Plains was a wonderful experience in which I met many of my life long friends and acquired many of the skills it takes to be successful in life.
