Reva Lord

Worked all of my career as a Psychiatric Staff Nurse in Acute Care and Emergency, Psychiatric Unit Manager, Depression Care Manager for the TIDES Program in the VA system, and taught nursing in the LPN, CNA settings as a second job for many years. Did all I could for the mentally ill and addicted in my community. Retired 2022 after 32 years as an RN, and working in health care as a “Aide” in nursing facilities before and after certification required, starting at age 14 until age 34 when became an RN.

1990 Graduated with the St. Joseph Award and the Sigma Theta Tau Excellence in Nursing Award. Also served as the Academic Representative to the Faculty of SMPC 1990.

I was told by my instructors whom I didn’t care for, I was the most “neutral” student they had ever known. I was grateful they could not read my mind. The instructors who really got to know me and be friendly with me, always knew what I was thinking. They appreciated my ability to keep my mouth shut as it allowed their day to go smoothly.
