I did not actually graduate from SMPC, but I would have been in the graduating class of 1991. However, some of my fondest memories come from the two years that I attended St. Mary's.
I graduated from Southwest MO State University in Springfield, MO with a BS in Recreational Therapy. I went back to St. Louis where I was born and raised to work. I worked at various places in St. Louis utilizing my degree. I loved working at the MO School for the Blind, St. Joseph's Institute for the Deaf, and St. Mary's Learning Center.
I met my husband at a wedding of a friend and we dated for a year, got engaged for ten months, and in June of 1995 got married. We moved to KC where he was starting his pediatric residency program at Children's Mercy Hospital. I changed from working with kids to geriatrics, finding two jobs that I loved. I worked at North Kansas City Hospital, and Park Lane Medical Center.
In June of 1998, My husband finished his residency, our first child, a daughter, Aideen was born, and we moved to Rolla MO. I have had three boys Shane, Justin, and Colin since then, and have loved being able to be a stay at home mom with all of them. I am now busy running them to all of their extra curricular activities.
