Joan Challans must have retired in 1974, not 1984, as when I came in 1975 she was no longer teaching, but she was still active in local birding groups for some years.  Jeff Burkhart
 

At long last Dr. B.' as he's been known here in California has retired - 44 years of wonderful years and wonderful colleagues and students. I've been blessed!

Two weeks more until retirement ...and it all started 41 years ago at SMPC. What a great beginning!

Hi Annie! Just wanted to say Hi.....don't know if you are still in Cote d'Ivoire in some other exotic venue, or back in the U.S. Hope all is well....FYI I retire this year(finally!), and hope do be able to do some traveling. Maybe I'll come to Africa!

Have been trying to reply to your post, but haven't been able to do so directly - hence this note. And, I do remember you - though it has been a very long time. I am planning on coming, but still do have a bit of organizing to do. I'll keep you posted!
