Yes! Attending Reunion

It has been 2 years since I've updated my bio. One more grandkid showed up, a girl, Madeleine. She turned 1 on 11/13/11. She has learned how to walk! 4 grandkids: MACKAILLYN, 12; MAGDELAN, 5; JULIAN, 2; MADELEINE, 1.

Our daughter, Sarah and her husband, Tom, live in Wichita with the 4 kids above.

3 of our boys, Benjamin, Jacob, and Daniel, live and work in Wichita. All are successful in the computer and retail world. They are nice to have relatively close to us.

The 4th boy, Noah, spent 2 years dancing with Ballet San Antonio but has had to drop out of the business and has plans on using his biology background in order to get into medicine.

As for mom and pop we keep ourselves busy working in theatre, photography, video projects, audio recordings, volunteer work, etc. My wife, Ellen, is the manager for Meals on Wheels/Friendship Meals in Cunningham.

We've been married for 38 years. Met her at Sacred Heart College during the '70-'71 school year. I finished up my 5th year of el. ed. at the Heart.

It has been good hearing from Tony, J. Marshall, Doc, Smitty, Steve, Hank- all are doing just great.

Looking forward to the BIG 2012 reunion in July.

Hey Steve a belated birthday to you, We got our COVID shots today with the next step 3/25.Yup, I have stuff that U rather not have so I am taking drugs to control things. The neuropathy is in my legs "real good". It makes my leg muscles stiffen. To think at SMOP I use to walk everywhere and from time to time some of the "kids"use to join me. They were pooped after doing it. Oh well. Water under the bridge.

I see Joe Ruocco every so often. He's long retired and keeps himself busy at his sports memorabilia store. He still plays the guitar. Because of my neuropathy in my hands playing is quite difficult. Hope playing is easy for you.

i too was relying on a wheelchair/walker just about a year ago. That's when I spent 39 days there, 14 days at Wesley medical center, then 15 days at Center on the Waterfront for ReHab. "Twas no fun. However life goes on.

I tell you a couple of years ago my high school alumni put out a list of 45 kids that had died.I sat there and started weeping when I read the 1st name. Then a year ago my best friend from high school died, That was a tough one. Of course there have been several SMOP kids have died. To think that we have survived this long!!

Do take care of yourself and obey speed limits in that wheel chair!!

Hey Smitty!! Thanks for the MBN pics. Memories!! We had our shit together those days. With neuropathy in my hands playing is difficult +standing for long periods GROAN!!

It has been COLD. The next couple of days it's suppose to hit the 40s,50s, 60s. Sure better than the negative numbers!! I rarely go outside.

My prostate cancer is under control so far. I take plenty of meds for it. Then of course I take meds for the neuropathy, never ending....

Man I'm so glad I don't teach anymore with all of the remote learning, etc.

We are still waiting for our SHOT. Our daughter, the nurse, got hers way back in March/April. Guess she was a guinea pig. It worked !!

Looking at the pic on the left we made a lot of noise. Where was Mullin?? I did do a remix and EQing of the recording I couldn't help you out back in '70 or '71,

I need to hit the hay. So take it easy. Spring is around the corner.

Keep the faith and Peace,

Hey, Butch and Margie, day after day it's hotter than hell here. Thank heavens for AC!! I try to avoid going outside on the 90ish / 100ish days. Not good for the heart. I remember days like this didn't bother me as I unloaded 1 grain truck after another.

As for my present day health I'm doing ok. My biggest problem is bladder control. After wearing a catheter for 2 months I feel like a toddler learning potty training. It's frustrating as hell.

I do get outside and do some yard work mostly hopping on the old JD and mowing our 2 lots. Even that wears me out but not as bad as it used to.

One of my former students dropped by the other day. Haven't seen him in a couple of years. Makes me feel younger??? older??? He's in our youngest kid's class. So i've known him for ages. From a pip squeak to a full blown adult with facial hair. WOW!! And a son his own.

As of July 4th our youngest, Noah, jumped the broom in Ft, Collins, CO. None of us could make it so July 4th 2021 they will make it more official in KS/TX? Their courtship started at band camp in their jr. high years then was on/off until she moved down to TX, 20 minutes away from Noah. Kellee is as sweet as they come and our grandchildren love her as we do.

As for our other 4 kids, all is well. May it stay that way!!

May you guys remain healthy and maybe wealthy. I still haven't forgotten our agreement amongst the guys in our gang about making a million $$$. A Martin D45 for each. I still have my D18. It sounds better than ever. I can hardly play it since I have neuropathy in both hands, Ken Weltz has a Martin #?? He gets together with Dan DeCoursey from time time.
I've come somewhat close to that figure but no dice.

Well, Grandma/Grandpa Moran take care of yourselves. Stay cool.
Love & Peace,
Super & Ellen

Sue, how are you guys doing?? It looks like another HOT SUMMER. must be KS,

Our youngest, Noah the dancer, got married in CO on the 4th. We couldn't make it to the small wedding. I'm still recovering from 39 days in the hospital. Trying to get my strength back including how to walk.

Once in awhile we see Dan Moore and Joe Ruocco. Both are doing ok.

We haven't been through the Dodge City area in a long time. I assume that it's still there!

Connie Stolz has been writing me and lately sending some photos of days long gone by. She has been in touch with me since my hospital stay. Tony Munoz told her of my situation so she contacted me.

Noah had to give up dance several years ago after laying down his motorcycle and messing up a ligament. So beside getting married on the 4th he works at the Toyota factory in San Antonio. He's been promoted a few times and is "flying" a desk.

Hope you guys are ok. It gets harder every day.

Super and Ellen

Hi Smitty! I;m recuperating`slowly but surely, I can walk pretty good and bladder control is slowly returning. Not driving yet but that will come. Yikes super on the road!! Tomorrow I go to ICT(Wichita) for an anti-cancer injection. I feel pretty good most of the time except for the painful neuropathy in my feet. remember those days when there wasn't an ache unless you put it there. Now aches show up involuntarily!!

Your performance brought tears to my eyes.Reminded me of days long gone by. We sure played a lot of gigs. What a blast!!

Take care of yourself and Sheila. Need to keep the woman healthy because they might have to nurse you. Ellen sure nurses me.
Take care and lots of love,
Super & Ellen

I got out 4/15, a mere 39 days later post needles, probes, scans, etc.!!!! Oh well life goes on Oh blah dee oh blah dah!!"

I have been re-learning how to stand up, walk and balance. Getting better at both but it ain't easy.

Thanks for passing the word about my condition. Heard from some crazy people from our past. STAY HEALTHY AS YOUR 70 YEAR OLD FRAME CAN TOLERATE!!!!!
