Elizabeth Hernandez

I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and that year just happened to be a bad year for new teachers. The school system had a hiring freeze so I had to look for work in an other area. I was lucky to find work at the Social Security Office and I have been working there ever since. I love my job but I do miss being around kids. I was a para while going to college and I just loved working with the little children.

I went to St Mary of the Plains for 2 years. The school was such a great place to get an education. I felt very comfortable in the school mainly because I went to a Catholic school as a child. I really felt good to be in an environment where praying to God for strength to get through all the home work was an accepted practice. I was a non traditional student but I felt really accepted by all the students. My time at the school was one of the best times of my life.
